Key the Metal Idol follows a young girl, Key, who discovers that she is a robot created by a scientist in the hopes of becoming human. As she journeys to find her creator, she uncovers a deep conspiracy involving the manipulation of artificial beings and the dark side of technology. Throughout her journey, Key confronts questions of identity, humanity, and her place in a society where technology blurs the lines between man and machine. Though it touches on AI and transhumanism, its psychological drama and emphasis on personal growth deviate from the cyberpunk focus on high-tech societies and urban struggles.
