2036: Nexus Dawn (2017)
This short film follows Niander Wallace as he attempts to convince a government panel to lift the prohibition on replicant production by introducing his new Nexus-9 model.
This short is part of a trilogy that bridges the gap between the original Blade Runner (1982) and Blade Runner 2049 (2017). It is chronologically the first in the series, set in the year 2036.
2048: Nowhere to Run (2017)
This short film focuses on Sapper Morton, a replicant trying to live a quiet life in a chaotic and dangerous Los Angeles. When he intervenes to protect a mother and child from a violent gang, his actions draw unwanted attention and put his fragile existence at risk.
This is the second short film in the Blade Runner prequel trilogy, set one year before the events of Blade Runner 2049.
Blade Runner: Black Out 2022 (2017)
In this animated short directed by Shinichiro Watanabe, a massive EMP detonation causes a global blackout, erasing digital records and collapsing infrastructure. The story follows two replicants, Iggy and Trixie, as they fight against human oppression and orchestrate the sabotage that will shift the future of replicant history.
This is the third and final entry in the prequel trilogy. Set in 2022, it explains the origins of the blackout frequently referenced in Blade Runner 2049, marking a pivotal moment in the timeline.

Rosa (2011)
